MediaWorks chief executive Mark Weldon has resigned. The announcement comes five days after the Weekend Herald broke the news that TV3 star Hilary Barry resigned from the network after 23 years of service. Mr Weldon said in a statement this morning that he notified the MediaWorks board of his resignation, saying "the personal cost is now too high to continue in this role".
