Police appeal for missing Wellington man

Police are looking for a Wellington man who has not been seen by his family for several weeks.

Douglas Matthes, 38, was reported missing by his family on Monday.

He has not been heard from in several weeks and in a statement police said his family are increasingly worried as he normally keeps in regular contact with them.

It is believed he may be in Auckland. He is originally from Porirua, Wellington.

Matthes is of Pacific Island descent and of solid build.

Information as to Mr Matthes whereabouts can be given to Kapiti-Mana Police by contacting Senior Sergeant James MCKAY on 04 4390895.
