Driver trapped in car after crash in Tauranga

A woman trapped after a car crash in Tauranga has been taken to hospital after being freed by firefighters.

Fire crews used the jaws of life to cut the woman out of her vehicle after the crash on State Highway 29A near Welcome Bay Rd this morning.

The woman suffered a minor head injury.

Police and ambulance attended the 9am crash.

Police said emergency services also attended a second crash involving four cars in the city at the same time.
