Car slides, crashes in Waikato with five inside

A car containing five people slid off a wet Waikato road and crashed into a rural fence and power pole.

"The power pole was knocked down in the crash and power lines were on the road," the police said today of the crash on Thornton Rd, Cambridge at around 3pm yesterday.

No one was injured.

The driver has been arrested and charged with careless driving.
