Nelson police are looking for a woman they say is a risk to the community.

Police said 34-year-old Phoebe O'Donoghue was previously living in Motueka but had links to the wider Nelson area and also Palmerston North.

They said she had failed to adhere to her parole conditions and was an undue risk to the community.

Police warned anyone who saw O'Donoghue not to approach her but to contact Nelson police immediately on 03 546 3840.

Alternatively, people could share information anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
