Rant

People who are sick and continue to go out in public. In particular, the woman who generously shared her virus with the patrons at the Howick Little Theatre last Tuesday. Her persistent coughing disrupted concentration, was insulting to the players who had spent weeks perfecting their thespian art, and spread her illness to others, of whom I happen to be one. - Raif

Rave

We have attended a number of top class exhibitions at Auckland Museum, most recently the Air New Zealand photo exhibition. Other standouts have been photo exhibitions for World Wildlife and NZ Geographic, and the costumes from World of Wearable Art. We are blessed with a world-class museum. - Mags

Rant

I am sick of people littering our beautiful country. Today I walked passed a woman who casually flicked her cigarette butt on to the pavement - I picked it up and told her I would put it in the rubbish for her.

She looked embarrassed, so maybe she will change her behaviour. - Airey

Rave

Kudos to the guy who filled up petrol at Z Papatoetoe for the lady who claimed needing to take her child to Starship. She clearly didn't seem to and kept asking for money even once her Subaru was fuelled up. You're a good man. - Rani

Rant

I know I am a bit absent-minded at 75 years of age, but there is no excuse for walking off with my khaki Macpac puffer jacket left in Heidi's Cafe in Tirau on Saturday. You could have easily notified the staff upon seeing it there, instead of taking off with my favourite jacket! - Anna

Rave

I had an appointment at the outpatients clinic at Waitakere Hospital yesterday and I cannot praise everyone enough for the treatment we received. Everyone concerned was helpful, friendly and happy. - Lynette
