Woman crushed between car and fence

A woman is in serious condition after being crushed between her car and a fence when she accidentally left the handbrake off.

Emergency services were called to Clarks Beach at 6.58pm yesterday where a woman in her 40s was pinned to a fence after her car rolled into her.

An Auckland Rescue Helicopter spokeswoman said the woman was able to get herself free but was unable to walk.

The crew treated her and transported her to Middlemore Hospital.
