State Highway One is closed at Huntly after a major truck crash this morning.

Police say two trucks collided at about 8.30am blocking the main highway.

Both drivers escaped without injury, however, diesel spilled over the road.

Traffic diversions are in place and work is under way to remove the debris and oil from the road.

Police are warning the stretch of road where the crash happened will be closed for a significant period while heavy machinery is brought in to move the trucks.

The police Commercial Vehicle Investigation Unit is investigating the crash.
