A fire that gutted a property in Gore early today is being treated as suspicious by the police.

Emergency services were called to Charlton Rd about 6.30am after a hedge and a garage were seen ablaze. The flames later spread to a vacant house.

This afternoon, police said they were investigating the suspicious circumstances of the blaze and were calling on the community to give them any information that could help them.
