A sheep spray painted with the word 'ISIS' on its left flank has been found in Devonport.
A post on North Shore Pets' lost and found Facebook page shows images of the woolly animal being comforted by police officers.
Poster Kate Sheen wrote that the sheep was found on Wednesday night in the up market North Shore suburb.
"We think she is a pet as she is very friendly."
The sheep was reportedly taken to a Silverdale animal shelter.
Sheen later shared in a comment that the sheep was reunited with its owner: "Animal Control just called me - the sheeps owner came forward from Greenhithe and has been picked up from the Animal Shelter - all's well that ends well!"
