A teenager has admitted carrying out a vicious attack on an elderly couple while they slept.
Hohepa Wallace, 18, appeared in Porirua District Court today, where he pleaded guilty to two charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and two charges of burglary over the incident in Waikanae on December 8.
His lawyer, Janine Bonifant, said "there was an element of drug-taking" involved in the incident.
Judge John Walker convicted Wallace and remanded him in custody until sentencing on February 27.
