A man found guilty of killing his cousin in Auckland last year has been sent to jail.
Peau Tulisi, 37, has been sentenced to 12 years' prison for the manslaughter of Paul Wilson.
Emotional victim impact statements were read out by the family of Mr Wilson today.
His mother Lorraine Wilson spoke about how his death has had an absolutely horrific impact on her health and she now has trouble eating and sleeping.
The court again heard details of the offending and how Tulisi subjected Mr Wilson to prolonged abuse treating him like a slave and increasingly controlled his wellbeing and finances.
