Police are hunting a man who allegedly robbed a Christchurch dairy armed with a cricket bat yesterday.
The man entered the store near Riccarton Racecourse about 8.25am and demanded money from the store owner.
Police said the man stole a sum of money and was seen fleeing on foot along Racecourse Road and over fences between Racecourse and Epsom roads.
Detective Gary Absalom said the offender is described as in his late teens or early 20s, about 1.75m-tall, of slim build and with short peroxide-blonde hair.
He was wearing a grey hooded top, black pants and carrying a cricket bat.
