Skateboard and BMX enthusiasts of all skill levels are expected to use a new Victoria Park skate park opening tomorrow.

Designed as an urban plaza, it covers 2100sq m beside Beaumont St. It has two sets of stairs, a flow park, a BMX jump box, two quarter pipes and a mini ramp.

Two carved pou will be unveiled at the 10am official opening.

The project replaces a 1600sq m skate park closed last year to make way for the Transport Agency's Victoria Park tunnel.
