There have been 50 confirmed cases in a measles outbreak in Auckland.

The infection started in West Auckland after a pupil came back from the UK, and is now scattered around the city, said Medical Officer of Health Dr Richard Hoskins.

The Auckland Regional Public Health Service is working with infected areas to quarantine susceptible contacts at home.
