Charges over the death of big-cat handler Dalu Mncube at Whangarei's Zion Wildlife Gardens have been adjourned.
The companies that run Zion Wildlife Gardens were to face the charges in Whangarei District Court today over the mauling of Mr Mncube, 26, by a white tiger last May, but the matter was adjourned until April 7.
The Department of Labour laid two charges against Zion Wildlife Services for "failing to take all practicable steps to ensure the safety of employees while at work".
Two charges were also laid against Zion Wildlife Gardens under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992.
