TV3 presenter Carly Flynn will take on a new role later this year - first-time mum.
The Sunrise host's baby is understood to be due in the middle of the year.
Flynn, who married cameraman Dave Flynn in 2006, was sporting a baby bump at a concert at Auckland Zoo this month.
TV3 spokeswoman Nicole Wood said yesterday the pregnancy was "lovely news".
"It is wonderful news for her and everyone here is happy for her for sure."
Wood said no decision had been made about who would step in for Flynn to co-host Sunrise with Oliver Driver.
Meanwhile, One News presenter Wendy Petrie has decided on a name for her third child.
Petrie and husband Ross Peebles welcomed their first son on January 31 and a source said they had named him Zak, but could not confirm the spelling.
