Just like superstars, Paeroa chihuahua breeder Robyn Crook and her husband Pat get mobbed walking down the street by shrieking men and women.
"Aw, just look at them, they are sooo adorable," says one woman.
"Oh, they are just so cute. Look at their little ears sticking up," swoons another.
Somewhere in the thick of it, 16 adult chihuahua crosses and two pups peer out of the double-storey mountain buggy designed for triplets, unfazed by the commotion.
The reception in Tauranga was just a normal day in the life of the dogs as their Paeroa owners took them for their daily stroll.
"It's like this all the time. They love the attention," Mrs Crook said.
"They go everywhere with us."
That meant travelling to Tauranga with the couple for a stroll around the streets, stopping to do an errand here and there.
The Crooks say they always stop to let people cluck over their pets.
Although it tripled the usual errand time, Mrs Crook said she would not change that for the world.
"We get older people and they say, 'Oh, you've made my day. Thank you so much'."
