Job tasks and responsibilities
We have an immediate requirement for an Architectural Technician to join our amazing, talented, productive, diverse, multinational team. Based in our Whangarei office, current projects are underway awaiting your keen eye for detail and technical skills. As an Architectural Technician you will:
Have experience within a number of different sectors; however you have been working predominantly within the residential and commercial sector. Experience in multi-unit apartment blocks and elderly care facilities would be an advantage.
Have an exceptional attention to detail.
Be an intermediate or advanced user of ArchiCad.
Have led an internal team and have some BIM experience.
Be familiar with a variety of the NZ industry concepts, practices and procedures with a sound knowledge of NZ building code 3604.
Possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written, particularly the ability to coordinate accurately with engineers, architects, clients and contractors.
Be available to travel to different locations within New Zealand if projects require.
Skills and experience
Good understanding of NZ design codes, standards, and legislation
ArchiCad and 3D modelling experience
A tertiary NZ qualification in an associated field
Focus on delivering quality designs to the meet our clients' needs
Excellent communication skills, a positive disposition and an all-round 'can do' approach
Revit experience beneficial, but not essential
We are open-minded to consider an applicant with excellent drawing skill if this outweighs the years' experience
Experience preparing and delivering documentation for consents is advantageous, but not essential
