Sick of painting the house and cleaning up the garden on your holiday? Then go and check those old Lotto tickets - you may have won a new home worth $820,000.
After nearly a month of appeals for people to check their tickets, a brand new home is still sitting empty and unclaimed.
The Te Atatu house was won on Saturday, December 9, by the mystery person who bought a Lotto ticket that had a lucky serial number printed on it.
The ticket was bought at Crandall Peters Paper Plus in Picton St, Howick.
The four-bedroom home was built as a showcase for the building industry and features top-of-the-line appliances and materials.
Featured on the TVNZ lifestyle show Five O'Clock With Jude Dobson, it was bought by the Lotteries Commission and given to a ticket serial number drawn at random in Lotto draw 701.
* The winning number is 276-58420480-2085.
Lotto's $820,000 showhome still awaits a winner
