Outspoken tougher sentences campaigner Mark Middleton has vowed to kill the man who murdered 22-year-old Auckland journalist Kylie Jones if he is ever released from prison.
Middleton said yesterday that he or his "brotherhood" would kill 30-year-old Taffy Herbert Hotene if he was ever released, because the justice system was incapable of protecting innocent people.
"There's no justice in this world. The only justice that there's ever going to be is if we take it for ourselves. I'm in for that," he told the Wanganui Chronicle.
Middleton has pleaded not guilty to five charges of threatening to kill Paul Joseph Dally, the man convicted of murdering Middleton's stepdaughter, Karla Cardno, 10 years ago and who last year became eligible for parole.
Middleton said he would appeal against a Wanganui District Court decision that Auckland will be the venue for his trial.
