Prince George's appearance has come under fire from a British Labour MP who sparked fury last week by mocking Prince Harry's military record.
According to the Express and News.com.au, Kensington MP Emma Dent Coad attacked the four-year-old prince in an acrimonious rant at her party's conference last week.
She reportedly described herself as the "Royal Family's worst nightmare" before saying: "When Prince George goes to school, they (the media) look at his jumpers and, you know, $230 for a jumper, that's a food bill for a family of four for a lot of people and that's outrageous and people are outraged by that."
Prince George attended his first day at school at Thomas' Battersea in south London last month accompanied by his father, Prince William. The Duchess of Cambridge was bedridden with morning sickness.
The anti-monarchist also joked about the 96-year-old Duke of Edinburgh's death and accused the Royal Family of being "thick", "obscene" and "ridiculous".
Her comments came after fellow panellist and Labour councillor Ken Ritchie told the audience: "We had all the media attention recently when Prince George started school. We don't know if he will grow up to be as bad as his grandfather or maybe his great grandfather. Or that he will be as bland as his father.
"All we know is that at some stage George will be king, unless we change the system or unless he has an unfortunate illness or accident.
"We can get rid of them if we don't like them, in an election of course, I'm not suggesting anything more drastic than that."
Ms Dent Coad was the subject of outrage after wrongly claiming Prince Harry failed his Army helicopter pilot exams and played no active part in battle. She also accused Prince Philip of cheating on the Queen and slammed the Duchess of Cambridge as "stupid" and "vulgar", according to Express.
After the Prince Harry controversy, Ms Dent Coad released a statement on Twitter saying the focus should shift towards helping Grenfell Tower residents.
"On Monday night I made a joke. It has been taken the wrong way, Can we look at the real issues facing us now" she wrote.
Speaking at the Labour For a Republic event where she criticised Prince George, it was also reported Ms Dernt Coad said the royals only carry out official engagements to distract from negative publicity.
"Oh the Cambridges are going here and I think, has Harry messed up again? Has someone been caught snogging again? It's pretty sad and pretty obvious," she said.
