The key to success lies in thorough exfoliation, ideally the day before to avoid skin irritation. Pay attention to elbows, knees and heels, as they will absorb more product. Make sure skin is hydrated with a light, oil-free lotion - oil will cause streaking.
A mitt will give the most even coverage. Use 1 tsp of product at a time, starting at your feet and using long, upward, even sweeps. Avoid over-rubbing as this will also cause streaking. For hands and feet, blend the product with a small sponge and don't forget giveaway areas like knuckle creases. For best results use a product only one or two shades darker than your natural tone and build the colour over two to four applications.
