Curly bulb problem solved for MySky HDi

Energy saving light bulbs are causing some MySky HDi customers problems.

Energy saving light bulbs might be good news for the environment, but they've had quite the opposite effect for some Sky subscribers.

Some MySky HDi users who use the new-style lightbulbs noticed a lack of remote sensitivity, but tech staff at the network say they've already solved the problem.

Sky communications director Tony O'Brien says customers who report the issue will be sent a stick-on filter which goes over the unit's infrared sensor, and stops the curly bulb problem.

"It's a very simple fix," he said.
