David Beckham will cook Christmas dinner for Gordon Ramsay.
The soccer star has invited the foul-mouthed TV chef and his family to spend Christmas Day with him, wife Victoria and their four children at their home in Hertfordshire, East England, and will be hoping to win over the kitchen impresario with his culinary skills.
The 37-year-old sportsman is opening a restaurant with Ramsay and the meal will be a chance to impress his friend.
He is planning to prepare a three-course festive feast including a turkey with all the trimmings, a starter and traditional Christmas pudding.
But Beckham will need to work hard to satisfy Ramsay - who often brings wannabe cooks to tears on his TV shows Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares and The F Word - as he owns several Michelin-starred restaurants and expects only the best.
A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Most people would run a mile rather than have Gordon at their table but David is determined to give it his best shot.
"He's been taking cookery lessons and finally feels ready to whip up a lavish spread."
Beckham will have to cook a feast fit for 12.
Gordon, wife Tana, 37, and their four children - Megan, 13, twins Jack and Holly, 11, and Matilda, nine - will join the soccer star, former Spice Girls singer Victoria, 38, and their brood, Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, 10, Cruz, seven, and 16-month-old Harper.
