Kiwi fashion designer Sean Kelly has won the reality TV show Project Runway in New York.
Originally from Hawera, Kelly, 25, designed a collection called "Betrayal of Caesar" which appeared at New York Fashion Week.

He is the first New Zealander chosen to compete in the New-York based fashion show, hosted by international model Heidi Klum.
Minutes before learning he had won, Kelly told the judges he wanted his collection to "feel luxurious".
Kelly was a favourite throughout the series, enjoying three wins where designers had to complete looks in a limited time.
One of his wins was for best design on episode five and the show's co-presenter, Heidi Klum, wore the dress to the Creative Arts Emmy awards on August 16.

Kelly received a prize pack receiving $100,000 from Red Robin to launch his business, a car from Lexus and a spread in Marie Claire magazine.
