She's the darling new addition to House Husbands, who made her acting comeback this year but it seems there might be trouble brewing on set for Delta Goodrem, after she was spotted looking tense alongside co-star Firass Dirani.

According to New Idea, a source close to the 32-year-old has revealed a Twitter taunt made by Firass back in 2012 has left "a lasting impression" on the singer and made her nervous.

The original remark came when Delta was a coach on The Voice, with Firass tweeting during the grand finale of season one that: "Delta needs to be drowned. #right now #annoying human", the Daily Mail reports.

Days later he apologised for his outburst, writing: "Made an insensitive comment about a personality the other day. No filter. Nothing personal. Apologies."

But according to the publication, friends of the singer claim she still feels hurt over the comments and fears that tensions could spill over between the two.

"When Delta signed on to do House Husbands, she had to think long and hard about whether she'd be able to work next to him," a source said.

Delta announced her comeback to television last July, revealing she would be portraying the character of Izzy Dreyfus on House Husbands.

It marked her first long-term acting role since starring on Neighbours where she played girl-next-door Nina Tucker.

Despite winning a Most Popular New Female Talent Logie for the role, Delta was forced to take a break in 2003 to focus on her health when she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Since her return to the screen she has been trying to prove herself alongside the show's acting veterans, including Gary Sweet and Julia Morris.

"She's just hoping all this past tension with Firass doesn't make things even harder," a source told the publication.
