After finishing their sixth season on the series more than four years ago, the Ab Fab duo are moving to the big screen.
Featuring an all-star cast of cameos, Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie gives the comedy antics of long-time pals Edina and Patsy their feature film debut.
When the pair discover that supermodel Kate Moss, starring as herself, is looking for new PR management, they hatch a plan to get noticed for the job.
Attending a glamorous fashion party, which features appearances by designer Stella McCartney and Mad Men star Jon Hamm, the pair land in big trouble when trying to get the model's attention, and accidentally kill her instead.
What ensues is a media firestorm, which leads Edina and Patsy to escape to the French Riviera to try to work out a plan to resolve their sticky predicament and live their high life forever.
The film will reunite the BBC comedy's original cast, including Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley, who play Edina and Patsy respectively.
Lumley and Saunders will be joined by a long list of celebrities including Rebel Wilson, Joan Collins, Gwendoline Christie and Dawn French.
Along with Moss, plenty of big names from the fashion modelling world will also feature, including Cara Delevingne, Suki Waterhouse, Lily Cole, Alexa Chung, Daisy Lowe and Jerry Hall.
Mandie Fletcher, who directed the three episodes of Absolutely Fabulous' sixth season, is in charge of the series' film adaptation. As well as starring in the film, Saunders also penned the script.
Hotly anticipated to be one of the funniest films this year, the movie will be released in the UK and US in July and will be hitting New Zealand cinemas in August.
