Tom Hanks' representative has blasted rumours suggesting the beloved actor is battling a "secret health crisis".
The Forrest Gump star hit headlines this week after a source told In Touch Weekly magazine the 59-year-old is struggling with more than just diabetes, a condition he went public with in 2013.
"He's suffering from prostate flare-ups and other blood sugar problems," the insider claimed, adding, "he's in a ton of pain and it's not allowing him to walk and function the way he wants".
The source also alleged Hanks, whose wife Rita Wilson recently beat breast cancer, is having to take a cocktail of prescription pills every morning and night.
However, the actor's publicist has shot down the allegations, telling GossipCop.com everything that is alleged in the article is "total BS (bullshit)".
The double Oscar winner is currently living the rock star lifestyle as he joins his singer/actress wife on the road for a number of dates on her upcoming North American tour.
"I'm going to hop on and off that bus," he beamed to Entertainment Tonight in March. "I'm not going to miss out on the rock and roll tour bus experience."
Hanks, 59, also joked that he had his bag packed with everything a wannabe rock star could need: "I've got a lava lamp all ready to plug in, I got some black light posters!"
Wilson kicked off her first trek, in support of her new self-titled album, in late March and she will wrap up the tour in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on May 4.
