Adele says she's 'proud' of her facial hair

Adele has grown a beard - and calls it Larry.

The 27-year-old singer grew some celebrity stubble while pregnant with her son Angelo - who is now three years old - and insisted during a concert at Glasgow's SSE Hydro Arena that she is "proud" of her facial hair.

She told the crowd: "When I got pregnant I had so much testosterone in me that I grew a beard.

"I only cropped it last night. It's actually true. I'm not telling a joke. I actually have a beard, but I'm proud of it. I call it Larry."

Adele admitted having some whiskers on her chin has enabled her to relate to her partner Simon Konecki even more because she knows what he has to go through when his facial hair gets irritable in hot weather.

She said: "My man's got a good beard. He trims it sometimes in the summer. I do have a beard myself so I can understand when it gets hot in the summer."

As well as her beard revelation, Adele entertained the Scottish crowd with another tale about her hairy body.

She said: "If anyone gets a glimpse of my really hairy legs I'm really sorry but I've got a weekend off, so no need to shave my legs."
