They're words that echoed around the world. And now they could be yours to own.
A framed, handwritten lyric sheet for Lorde's Grammy and Silver Scroll-winning No. 1 hit Royals is being auctioned off on Trade Me, with profits going towards the Play It Strange charity.
Penned by Ella Yelich-O'Connor after her Grammy wins in January, the A4 sheet consists of lyrics for the chorus to Royals and is signed by both her and the song's producer, Joel Little.
Little brought Lorde's lyric sheet, written in Los Angeles, home with him after the pair collected their Grammy gongs.
Play It Strange chief executive Mike Chunn and general manager Debbie Little picked it up from Little at Golden Age Studio in Auckland, and it has since been professionally framed.
Released in 2013, Royals has won the Apra Silver Scroll award and took home Best Pop Solo Performance and Song of the Year at the Grammy Awards. It spent nine weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Proceeds from the auction will be used to sponsor gifted young songwriters - and possibly another future Lorde.
It starts with a reserve of $1000. View the auction here.
