The Dead Daisies singer Jon Stevens can be heard singing the main theme song to the new Disney movie Planes.

The former INXS frontman and brother of Frankie Stevens recorded the song Fly for the movie.

Planes is the first film of what is planned to be a trilogy for Disney.

It features the voices of comedian and actor Dane Cook, Cedric the Entertainer, Brad Garrett, Stacy Keach, Julia Louis-Dreyfuss and John Cleese.

Stevens, who is engaged to Australian swimwear designer and former model Jodhi Meares, is currently touring the US with a broken leg. The Kiwi singer broke his leg in a fishing accident in Queensland just days before heading to America.

Planes is currently screening in US cinemas. It will open in Australian cinemas on September 19.
