Harry Styles forgets passport, misses flight

Harry Styles missed his flight from London to the US because he forgot his passport.

The One Direction singer was left "embarrassed" and behind in his schedule to meet girlfriend Taylor Swift after he missed his British Airways flight from Heathrow to Boston because he didn't have the important document.

Fortunately, the 18-year-old star - who had been driven to the airport by his mother Anne Cox - was able to arrange for a courier to pick up the passport from his home in Cheshire, North West England, and he successfully boarded the next flight to the US city at 7:30pm.

A source close to the singer told the Sunday People newspaper: "Harry was due to fly out on Friday morning and his mum very kindly offered to drive him to the airport, but when he got there he realised he didn't have his passport.

"He wanted to fly out that day so rather than Anne drive the journey back up north, he decided to get a courier bike to pick it up and bring it to him. If she had driven to get it, Harry would have missed the next flight too.

"He managed to get on the evening flight but it still meant that he had to wait another eight hours for his post-Christmas reunion with Taylor.

"Despite this, he took the whole event in good humour and ridiculed himself for it.

"He was embarrassed though, especially when he approached the check-in desk only to find he didn't have the passport."

While Harry was left red faced by his error, he used his spare time to do some shopping ahead of spending the new year with Taylor in New York, where she is performing alongside a host of stars, including her friend Justin Bieber, at Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve in New York's Times Square.

The source added: "Harry spent his time shopping and having some lunch before the next flight which took off that evening.

"There was no way Harry and Taylor could spend Christmas Day together but they're making up for it by seeing in the New Year together."
