Tom Cruise's ex in anti-Scientology rap

The woman at the centre of a controversial story claiming she was recruited as a Scientology-sanctioned wife for Tom Cruise has reportedly appeared in an rap song blasting the religion.

Nazanin Boniadi is said be one of a number of ex-Scientologists who hurl accusations and insults at the religious organisation in a rap song posted on Gawker.

She was the subject of a Vanity Fair article claiming she was set up with movie star Cruise in 2004 as a potential wife.

The story was strongly denied by Cruise and the Church of Scientology.

In the rap orchestrated by Los Angeles producer Titziano Lugli - who was excommunicated from the church in 2010 - Boniadi reportedly calls Cruise "blind".

She says: "But we all know how it is. This ain't no road to freedom. It's a blind alley, like Kirstie Alley, Travolta and Cruise, but we ain't no fools."

Other Scientologists to appear in the song include Marty Rathbun, who served as Tom Cruise's "auditor" and Mike Rinder, a former Australian head of PR for the church, Gawker reported.

Proceeds from selling the rap as a single will go to help people who leave Scientology with nothing, Lugli told the website.

Cruise is set to appear in action flick Jack Reacher.

He has experienced a recent career revival following the success of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.
