South Island artists dominate the finalist list for New Zealand's 2012 Best Folk Album.
Red Grey Blue is Westland singer Mel Parson's second album, and features friends including Anika Moa, Greg Johnson and Don McGlashan. Her debut Over My Shoulder made the final list in 2009.
Amiria Grenell's father is Canterbury folk stalwart John Grenell, and Three Feathers is her second album. Brother Redford features on drums and guest appearances include her partner Tola, along with John.
Don't Worry 'Bout Your Age is Otago quartet The Chaps' third album. They first performed in 1989 and are influenced by jazz, swing, bluegrass, rock, calypso and folk.
