Double Barrell and Double or Nothing were in stylish form during a busy morning at Cambridge yesterday.

Galloping on the outside of a dead number one grass, Double Barrell (Hills) hit out freely over 1000m in 1:2.8 sprinting the final 600m in 37. He has been freshened since a brace of victories and is due to resume at Te Rapa this weekend.

Double or Nothin (Calder) left 1200m behind in 1:27.6 sprinting the last 600m with stablemate Don Dixit (Callaway) in 36.6.

Will O' The Wisp (Calloway) worked in from the 600m in 39.9. River Pegasus (Calder) and Star Babe (Mickey) cut out the last 600m of an 800m gallop in 36.9. Murphy (Jones) and Sandecker (Gillies) impressed when sprinting 600m in 35.8.

Antipodean (Donohue) was clocked from the 600m in 37.3. Agovera (Marks) and Run Roxy Run (Calder) matched strides over 1000m in 1:04 finishing off in 37.1. Overkaast came to the end of 1000m in 1:3.1 the concluding section in 36.5. Hurricane Rosie (O'Niel) completed 600m in 37.1.

Working on the plough, Katies Dan (Matthew) strode 1200m in 1:26 the last 600 in 41.4. Bagalollies (Calder), Sellena Belle (Norvell) and Rhamale (McFarlane) ran 1600m in 1:47 finishing off in 40.4. Rhyme (Moeslin) and Who's Asking (Collins) were together throughout 1000m in 1:8 the last 600m in 40.

Mrs Tiddlemouse and Yao (Leahy) left 1200m behind in 1:20, the final 600m in 39.4. Miss Vento (Moeslin) ran 600m in 41.

Golan Star (McFarlane) covered 1200m in 1:24 and the 600m in 41.9. Mountain Road (Collins) and Killa Loox (Weller) were timed from the 1200m in 1:18.9 coming home in 38.8.

Ajurne worked over 1200m at three quarter pace. Soloist (Vennendale) was untested when working in from the 600m in 42.4. Material Girl (Moeslin) and Black Bijou (Leahy) came to the end of 1000m in 1:.8 the concluding section in 39.4. Grace (Donohue) completed 1000m in a comfortable 1:10 the last 600m in 39.3.

Mamasan (Matthew) was untroubled to run 1000m in 1:14 the final 600m in 44. Between Friends (Gillies) and Miss Ustinov (Jones) worked in from the 1000m in 1:7 coming home in 37.4. Del Toro (Scott) was timed from the 600m in 39.8.

Whiritoa Bay sprinted 800m in 50.8. Roman Toia cut out 600m in 39.2. Fire Fox (Scott) completed 600m in 43.8. Dan Star worked over 1000m at three-quarter pace.

Galloping on the sand, Demhills (Vennendale) ran 1200m in 1:24 the last 600m in 44.7. Hagar (O'Styke) came in from the 1000m in 1:4.1 sprinting the 600m in 37.2. Sunrise (Huston) and Pinsoir were timed from the 600m in 38. Astaire (Satherely) started from the 1200m at three-quarter pace, increasing speed over the last 600m in 38.

Sir Fortriss returned a splendid final trial for Avondale on Friday when he worked at Pukekohe yesterday.

Ridden by Shane Hapeta on the all-weather sand, Sir Fortriss sprinted 800m in 48.7, the last 600 in 35.7.

His latest form is solid and he looks in great heart.

Te Rapa-bound Crossyourheart (Innes) and Superalloy (Chippendale) covered 1000m in 1:3.6, the last 800 in 50.4 and 600 in 37.6.

El Torro (N. Collett) and Pretorius (Innes) ran the last 1200m of 1600 in 1:16.6, 1000 in 1:2.7 and 600 in 37.2. This was very sound work.

Young Zeus (Spratt), improved by recent racing, galloped 1200m in 1:15.6, the last 1000 in 1:3.1. He steadied a little for the final 600, taking 38.2. Leadership (D. Johnson) and Braxton (Burgess) completed 1200m in 1:17.9, the closing 600 in 38.

Mathias (Prangley) covered 1200m in 1:19.3,with the speed on for the final 600 which took just 35.6. Vivaldi's Gone (Evans) ran the last 1200m of 1600 in 1:19.6 and 600 in 38.7.

The Grim Reaper (Prangley) strode 1400m, the last 1200 in 1:24.5. He quickened over the last 600, taking 37.3.

Joan's Girl (Burgess) and Crown's Master (Rolston) went 800m, timed for the final 600 in 36.7. Pinstar (Singer) and Limavardy (N. Collett) finished 1000m in 1:4.2, the last 600 in 38.

Lenny (Udy) was keen to go faster in the finish of 800m in 52.4, the closing 600 in 38.6.
