Max Key appears to be following in his father's footsteps taking a new job with a major stock broking and investment banking firm.
It is understood that Key has been employed by local brokers First NZ Capital in a junior role.
His father, former Prime Minister Sir John Key, had a high-flying career as a currency trader, both locally and internationally, before entering the politics in 2002.
Max Key, has become something of a minor celebrity in his own right, as a DJ and music producer and via a glamorous social media presence.
However he also has a Bachelor of Commerce from Auckland University - majoring in property, accounting and finance.
He interned as a foreign exchange trader at ANZ in Sydney and also worked at Goodman Property last year.
His LinkedIn CV also includes a consulting role with Sydney-based firm Crimson Consulting.
