Police have released the name of a man killed while working at a Huntly manufacturing business.

He was Ira Tangiora Paki, aged 43, from Huntly.

The Herald has learned Mr Paki died after a stack of metal panels fell on top of him while working at Metrapanel, in the small Waikato town yesterday afternoon.

Metrapanel's directors aren't commenting on the incident until the police and Worksafe investigations are completed.
