Christchurch's quake-hit Crowne Plaza to be knocked down

Another list of Christchurch buildings set for demolition has just been released.

It includes some high-profile buildings like the Crowne Plaza but also some new names including Coyotes Bar on The Strip and The Latimer Hotel.

There are 25 heritage buildings listed.

A number are in High Street including the High Para apartments and the Holy Trinity Church in Avonside.

Also due to face the wrecking ball are the Glassons Building on Cashel Street and the seven storey Ibis House on Hereford Street.

The Radio Shack, a heritage building at Christchurch Boys' High School is also going.
