Trailer hits bank on Kaimai Ranges

Emergency services have been called to a second incident where a trailer a come amiss on one of the region's busist highways.

A utitily truck towing a trailer on State Highway 29 has avoided serious collision after the trailer came off and hit a bank about 11.55am.

The incident happened near Maclaren Falls Rd in the Kaimai Range.

Senior Sergeant Karl Konleachner said it was not blocking and there were no major hazards to motorists.

Earlier this morning a logging truck lost part of its load when one of the trailers it was towing flipped on the Tauranga Eastern Link. Read more about it here.

No one was seriously injured.
