A plaque and quiet space commemorating New Zealand's fallen Anzac soldiers will have a new home at Papamoa College.
Tauranga Mayor Stuart Crosby unveiled the plaque in a ceremony at the college yesterday.
Representatives from local RSAs, Papamoa Rotary and Nga Potiki iwi joined Mr Crosby and the school for the event.
They were joined by 100 students, selected to take part and help reflect the 100 years since New Zealand soldiers landed in Gallipoli.
Principal Steve Lindsey said the school was honoured to have the memorial, which was built through the efforts of Papamoa Rotary.
