A Papamoa Beach woman who defrauded her employer to the tune of $352, 698 has been jailed for two and half years and ordered to pay $300,000 reparation within 60 days.
Dionne Michelle Guinness, 42, who earlier pleaded guilty to 11 fraud related charges, was sentenced in Tauranga District Court today.
That is, five charges of theft by a person in a special relationship, three charges of obtains by deception, and one charge each of used forged documents, using a document for pecuniary advantage, and altering a document with intent to defraud.
Guinness admitting stealing $352,698.45 from Sportcraft Marine Limited in Mount Maunganui between 2010 and 2014.
