The Bay of Plenty District Health Board is encouraging people to respond to a national survey asking for feedback on their hospital stay.
A random selection of patients in the district who spent at least one night in hospital from November 3 to 16 have been invited to take part in the survey developed by the Health Quality & Safety Commission (HQSC).
Patients are able to fill in the survey online using a computer, tablet or smartphone.
The survey results will help district health boards (DHBs) make improvements in care and give the public valuable insights into the performance of their local health services.
The survey responses will be anonymous unless patients choose to supply contact details. Responses are collated to give each DHB a rating out of 10 in four areas: coordination, partnership, communications, and physical and emotional needs.
