There has been significant amount of tagging in the Harris Street area and it has become increasingly quite lately, said Community Constable Tawhai Schuster.
"Police officers have done a letter drop to try and get the neighbours on board as we received only one phone call in relation to this activity, which does not reflect how busy some punks have been down there," she said.
"We are encouraging people to call 0800 CrimeStoppers as there are people who wish to remain anonymous but can provide good information like descriptions and direction of travel.
"In relation to dishonesty offending, Te Puke Police have a couple of people who are appearing in court regarding theft around the area. However, until they appear in court the police cannot provide further details at this stage.
"The outstanding dishonesty offending include a black HP laptop and a white Galaxy phone which was taken from a MacLoughlin Drive address last Friday between 6pm and 6.30pm while the occupant was in the middle of moving."
