Te Puke police have been dealing with reports of a few thefts from vehicles.

It appears these thefts are occurring down at Ford Road, Maketu, better know as The Cut.

On March 13, a vehicle was broken into which had a window was partly open. A purse and cash were taken, between 12 noon and 4pm.

Another vehicle was also entered while the owner was working on an orchard. A cellphone, cash and handbag were taken also on March 13, between 1pm and 2.30pm.

Two large sheets of Gib board were stolen overnight between March 11 and 12, from a property at the beginning of Dunlop Road.
