Blue skies, light winds and temperatures in the early 20's - people in the Bay of Plenty will experience pleasant, settled weather until at least Sunday.
After a particularly windy month, Bay residents will be happy to enjoy some calm, warm weather this week.
Most of New Zealand will enjoy similar weather this week, thanks to a large anticyclone sitting in the Tasman Sea, WeatherWatch analyst Richard Green said.
"On Friday this anticyclone will start to slip over the top of the North Island and a westerly airflow will start to get established over the country so perhaps later in the weekend or early next week we may start to get some unsettled
weather come through.''
"As we approach November it seems that we'll enter the last month of spring under a high but that doesn't necessarily mean that it'll be all blue skies and sea breezes for the rest of the month.
"It looks like it's a good beginning but as we get closer to the second week of the month it's looking a little more disturbed.
"We should make the most of it as the following week we could see a depression delivering some moisture to parts of the country,'' he said.
