Inspiring teacher rewarded

A Tauranga teacher has been recognised as one the country's most inspiring teachers in a nationwide competition.

Francean McCall of Tauranga Rudolf Steiner School in Welcome Bay was one of 29 teachers recognised in the competition, led by Warehouse Stationery.

The 29 finalists received a $1000 prize pack from Warehouse Stationery.

The 2012 Most Inspiring Teacher award went to Jan Stevens from Rotary Park School in Otago.

Judges had to pick a winner from 7300 nominations for about 5000 teachers from around New Zealand.
