If you haven't got tickets to see Neil Diamond play during his New Zealand tour in February, Tauranga has the next best thing.
Get ready to rock the night away to classics like Sweet Caroline and Cracklin' Rosie tomorrow night.
Steve Cummins will perform as Diamond in the Neil Diamond Super Hits
Show, which swings into Tauranga as part of a 13-date New Zealand tour.
Cummins, a multi-award winning Australian entertainer, will sing Diamond classics including Cherry Cherry, Kentucky Woman, Solitary Man, Beautiful Noise, and I Am I Said.
Cummins is the only Diamond tribute artist to have featured on the same programme as the man himself. It was live to air on the UK's BBC radio programme Beautiful Noise, The Neil Diamond Story, to more than three million listeners.
Cummins has been described by the president of the Neil Diamond fan club in Australia as the only performer to master the feel of Diamond's music and performs a brilliant tribute to the man and the songs that embraced the world.
Along with a show band, The Neil Diamond Super Hits Show has toured extensively, playing throughout Australia, New Zealand and Asia for the past 16 years.
He has performed for the King of Java, was pre-match entertainment for the Super 14 Rugby in Dunedin, headlined the Gladstone Harbour Festival and performed at twilight concerts at Melbourne Zoo.
Cummins began his New Zealand tour late last month, visiting Ashburton, Invercargill, Oamaru, Malborough, Nelson and Napier. This month he is due to perform in Whakatane, Kerikeri, Whangarei, Taupo, Gisborne and Palmerston North.
Tickets vary from $39-$59 and can be bought online or from Baycourt TicketDirect.
