Rosie Dawson-Hewes, marketing and media manager at Chaos & Harmony, shows us inside her wardrobe
How would you describe your style?
I grew up in Wellington, so my style always harks back to there - lots of black with a twist, floating silks and contrasting textures. I adore creative tailoring and exaggerated proportions, probably because I have a deep, lifelong love of fashion as an art form. I will always favour homegrown brands, especially making an effort to support up-and-coming local talent. I spent years only wearing black and white, but have now introduced grey, navy and khaki, too (revolutionary, I know). And I always wear great, high-quality shoes, of course!
What's your favourite piece in your wardrobe and why?
That's like asking me to choose which of my two cats is my favourite! I have a mesh 'feathered' Liam top I love. It's an amazing statement, has great texture and is so much fun to wear.
What do you wear to work?
My work varies, depending on whether I'm in the Chaos & Harmony office, out meeting clients or working from home. I tend to swing between slightly grungy casual and super tailored, sculptural, feminine pieces. I'm a sucker for well-cut jeans, wide-legged pants or pencil skirts and tailored jackets. And I use silks, leather and lace to create contrasting textures.
What's your weekend "uniform"?
I don't really have a 'uniform' as such, I just dress for whatever mood I'm in. But at the moment, the weekend sees me in ripped up jeans or leather shorts with an oversized statement tee and loafers or slides. I also have a gorgeous embroidered Kate Sylvester bomber that is great for weekends.
