Opinion: A former Kiwi's view of 'pure' NZ

Landing in my homeland used to bring the hearts surrender and tears, this visit brought sadness of a kind not felt before.

Logging, Pine trees grown on steep slopes with the inevitable landslips, barren land as far as the eye can see, original forest very hard to find.

Picture perfect, artificial green grass for robotic cows with huge udders for mass production to satisfy over seas markets. Poisonous sprays on the bare land to grow your potatoes in,

A man paddling for the kiwis to get off their bums and recognise the big conglomerates want to mine your sea bed, do you really think things in the ocean and on the coast will be the same if you let the them in, (http://kasm.org.nz) The Town of Raglan is attempting to save the almost extinct Maui Dolphin who may be an fatality of this action.

Miners having license to mine the sand dunes on the west coast, the Giant Kauri Dying the kiwi fruits having a new disease, the mountain blowing up the earthquakes. (I wonder sy?) And oh lets not forget the big hype about the Hobbit movie that thousand tune into very important.

Everything you do or not do is your responsibility, what are you choosing to get involved in, to buy, to act upon today.

We visited a struggling organic farmer, a struggling organic milk producer who is trying to make a difference. The Internet did not provide many organic producer of fruit and vegetables. 'PURE' I am not sure about? but then I watched on the Internet the ABC Documentary, which was banned by NZ TV, "Let Us Spray" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxzCoCRcHhQ ) yes that sealed the deal.

A chemical company that poisoned most of NZ with the governments authorisation, 245T & Dioxin, deformed babies and poisoned land and it is still killing those that worked for them and their families, and YOU have done nothing. Yes they still make chemicals in the same neighbourhood. WAKE UP

Come on Kiwis, most of you are from Warrior stock, the fight is not physical any more but it can be powerful by your voice your signature, your stance, your buying power, your choice! Your Land, Your responsibility.
